I didn't know where to put this, but here goes.
I'm using Merlin build 3.0.0.4.270.26 and are having a irritating issue. It happened with my previous router and was even worse.
(Note that there is no wireless involved. Everything is set up by wires.
Anytime I download a file on my Xbox, it's anywhere from 5-13Mbps out of the 55 (currently about 46 with them still tinkering with it.) my connection is capable of. Why am I unable to get full speed downloads? At that point, my network is idle and my Xbox can suck all the juice it wants.
Does this have anything to do with the Xbox having a 10/100 NIC in it?
I'm also having similar issues with my PS3. I clocked a single download while in the PSN store at like 44.6Mbps. That's not bad, but the issue I have is when I make that file a background download, speeds drop from 25-40s to only 8Mbps or slower.
Does anyone else have these problems? Is there anything I can do about it? (Especially settings wise) or am I just stuck with it?
