Hi there, started to notice some strange errors in my Asus Router logs, and wondered if anyone could shed some light on the issue, if there is one!

Excuse the lenghty cut and paste :)

DROP IN=eth0 OUT= MAC=ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:00:1d:aa:89:12:14:08:00 SRC=0.0.0.0 DST=255.255.255.255 LEN=144 TOS=0x00 PREC=0x00 TTL=254 ID=41297 PROTO=UDP SPT=15565 DPT=4944 LEN=124 MARK=0x8000000

Then a corresponding -

DROP IN=eth4 OUT= MAC=ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:00:1d:aa:8f:96:ec:08:00 SRC=0.0.0.0 DST=255.255.255.255 LEN=144 TOS=0x00 PREC=0x00 TTL=254 ID=41285 PROTO=UDP SPT=15313 DPT=4944 LEN=124

--

These continue, and repeat throughout the day. The Mac address is not a device on my network, I have put wireshark on the network to try and see if this is indeed a device gone banana's but cannot find anything.

I am presuming eth0 is the WAN? But I do not know what eth4 is?

Any help or advice would be gratefully recieved.

Thanks :)

Gary

This link shows it being used by "DrayTek DSL Status Monitoring" and the MAC address shown in your log matches DrayTek.
