Switched from Cable to DSL will not connect

I am out of ideas and just thought i would try posting here for any ideas. I have an RT-N66U running Merlin (latest) ... using any other router (I have several cheaper ones) the dsl connects fine but on this router I get this in the log. this would lead me to believe it is an authentication issue but I know the credentials are correct. Any thoughts ideas. Could it be simply that the date and time is out. This will not update until i get a WAN connection I believe.
