Synology doesn't play nice with ZyWALL USG 20

Can anyone think of a reason why my 2 Synology NAS boxes can't reach the internet through a ZyWALL?

The gateway address is correct, and every other piece of equipment I have is perfectly happy talking in the internet through the ZyWall, but if I telnet into Synology it can't even ping the gateway?

Synology has no suggestions, and point their finger at the Zywall.

I have tried asking in different Synology forums but I have had no luck and thought the router forum may have an answer.

Hmm,

Played with a couple of settings and now after 6 months it is working.

Going to dive in deeper.....
