Synology DS214play upgrade options

Have had this for over 4 years now and am thinking of upgrading to a new server such as a Synology DS218+ or similar. Thinking of Synology as I have only used this make so far. Reason to think of upgrade - I find it is slow at times and there is buffering issues on streaming at times.

I have DS218Play and that works for me . Steaming over LAN with no issues of any kind. DS218+ is more powerful but compare yourself before buying.

Streaming should not be an issue over a LAN especially if it is wire. It is not that much data. You need to figure out if it is a server problem or LAN problem.
