I'm running Merlin Firmware:380.59 on AC87U router.

Have you RESET the router after flashing 380.59? Press your RESET button on the back 10-15s without releasing it and wait a reboot after, then do a manual configuration without any old configuration file import and check your syslog again.

yes, did that 3 weeks ago when I have installed the Merlin WRT and conf the router from scratch at that time.

So HW reset was done and not Software reset via WEBUI, ok.

You haven't seen it happening on previous FW versions, only on 380.59? Have you tried stock ASUS 380.2697? (same 380.59 code base)

I'm using FW based on 380.59 and i never seen it happening so far, beside that message do you see any issues happening on the FW?

Also, do you use only the basics on the router? Or you also use Entware services and/or others...?

Really don't know since from day 0 when I have received the router I have upgraded to Merlin 380.59 version.
No other strange messages are visible except this one that is visible once a day.

I have also installed Entware-NG on it together with Transmission, and other packages.

https://www.hqt.ro/transmission-on-asuswrt-routers-through-entware/
https://www.hqt.ro/how-to-install-mysql-server-phpmyadmin-through-entware-ng/

i'm using an external 32GB flash drive for Entware-NG plugged into the USB 2.0 port.

Any of your USB drives are self powered? I think I've seen something similar back then and it was the USB drive doing it, though not 100% sure.

I dont think that usb memory sticks have power management, its a small stick and not an external hdd that can have build in power management.

Hmm, OK. My advise to you is testing another FW version like 380.58 for example or other FW versions (ASUS / RMerlin) and check if you still seeing it happening.

Seen before.....dial back on your torrent number of connections and connections per torrent.

john9527, can you please give me more details?
At this point, into Transmission settings, I have:

- Max peer torrent 30
- Max peer overall 80

and currently only 5 torrents that are seeding.
