TM-AS1900 Bricked or Not Bricked

Hien

New Around Here
Hello all!

Any help is greatly appreciated it. So I got the TM-AC1900 today and tried to use the Asus firmware. I followed a video from slick deals and everything was working to the point I had to flash 3 files using telnet. After the flash I exit and hold the wps and unplug the power and power it back on as stated... now the problem after that is my routers power l.e.d. is not lighting up anymore. I did all the reset from 30/30/30... everything, I can't get the power l.e.d. to turn on or even to flash. The only l.e.d. that is on is the usb 2 and whatever slot (1-4 from the router) I plug my computer ethernet cable to. Is my router now bricked? I even pinged it and "destination host unreachable.

also whenever I unplug and plug back the router all but power, 2.4 ghz and 5ghz lights on.

thank you for your time,
Hien

You have a dead router, doing CFE changes is always a big risk, your only way out is a NAND programmer.

Good luck.

I would try to get it into recovery mode and see if you can restore the original CFE.

unplug power, wait 20 sec. hold the reset button in, plug power back in while holding reset button. continue to hold button for 20 seconds.

then try to reach 192.168.29.1

see below. I stand corrected. thank you.

You can't restore the cfe from recovery. If the cfe is corrupted, you can't access the recovery mechanism.

hmm, I also follow the video to flash it to AC68U without problem. What you did wrong? Sounds like bad cfe which is unrecoverable.
