Tool to automatically reboot router when there is no WAN Connection

Is there currently an add-on (or script) that can automatically reboot the router if there is no WAN connection detected after a set period of time/number of non-responsive pings/etc.

Occasionally when my ISP does work on its network the internet goes down - however it does not recover the connection unless I reboot my router - which is difficult when I am away from home etc.

I would have thought/hoped that the connmon tool could provide such a solution but it doesn't seem to offer this (at present...?).

See the Addon Software Catalog if you haven't done so already:
For example the ChkWAN addon script might do what you seek.
This script can monitor the connection status of a WAN interface, and if the status is found to be unacceptable, can perform one of the following:
1. Report the status of the WAN connection.
2. Attempt to restart the WAN interface.
3. REBOOT the router.
