Traffic Monitor - Wireless graph shows up in Wired

Occasional Visitor
I have RT-AC88U Firmware 380.66_4.

In Traffic Monitor Real Time, I see the same traffic for Wireless (5GHz) and wired.

I start with nothing. I run a live video on iPhone and in the traffic monitor, it shows up both in Wireless (5GHz) and wired. Why? It should not show up in wired graph.

My Wireless setup is that I use Smart Connect if that helps.

Any ideas?

Correction. They don't show the same exact traffic. The wired traffic does not show in wireless. But the wireless trafic shows up in the wired graph, why?

When you're talking about wired, are you talking about WAN or LAN?

I tried my real time traffic analyzer and it seems to work. Four real time buttons; Ethernet WAN, Wired, 2.4 and 5.0. If I talk to the Internet over 5 GHz I see traffic under the 5.0 tab, similar traffic under the Ethernet tab and nothing under the other two. Any chance you are looking at Ethernet and misunderstanding that to mean "wired"?

When you say "live video" is it really raw direct from the Internet or is it coming through an intermediary such as a local DVR or roku? Perhaps try an Internet speed test and observe the results.

Other than that I remain klueless ...

Yes I am not mistaking. Look at this image grab. 2 Downloads/Streams going. One is wired on PC and one is iPhone wireless.

Wan and Wired look exactly the same. The wireless graph shows up in Wired.

What are your settings in LAN- Switch Control?

Enable Jumbo Frame - Disable
NAT Acceleration - Disable
Spanning-Tree Protocol - Enable
Bonding/ Link aggregation - Disable

There was something with NAT Acceleration I remember. I remember it had to be off or the wired traffic wouldn't show up. Do you have it off?

Why should i disable NAT Acceleration?! If that would be the reason I would activate it anyway to have a faster connection of my devices :D Anyway, I have it enabled and no problems here.

I take my statement back that everything is allright there. Something is really wrong :D I always have 0.00 KB/s for upload @ the 5 GHz network tab and if I do a speedtest the upload is shown @ the wired network tap..

Do you get all your wireless traffic in wired tab too? All. Wireless upload and download in wired tab?

It seems that I only get the 5GHz upload shown @ the wired tap, the download while I am using beta.speedtest.com is not shown there. Can't test the 2,4GHz network at the moment as I am using smart connect and all devices are connected with 5GHz :D Perhaps @RMerlin can have a look at this..?

All too strange. You have version 380.66_4? I will try to test 2,4GHz later to see what happens.

I am @ alpha 2 :)

Last time I checked it was working properly here.

As mentionned, you might need to disable hardware acceleration - Asus even puts a notice to that effect at the top of that page.

NAT Acceleration is off for me and it only affects the wired connections. It has no effect on wireless as I remember.
