I have an Asus RT-AC86U Router. I am running the latest versions of amtm, diversion and skynet.

I have an extensive network of laptops and devices on my local network.

I just added a new laptop to the network running Windows 10. I was online and everything was fine when suddenly I lost network connectivity with that device. I am running Visual Syslog Server 1.6.4 and watched to see why the device was suddenly not connecting to the internet. I see the following message over and over:

Feb 29 11:45:05 192.168.1.1 RT-AC86U-6948-0FBFC4C-C user warning kernel [BLOCKED - OUTBOUND] IN=br0 OUT= MAC=BLANKEDONPURPOSE SRC=192.168.1.106 DST=191.168.1.1 LEN=68 TOS=0x00 PREC=0x00 TTL=128 ID=52008 PROTO=UDP SPT=51702 DPT=53 LEN=48

It appears the laptop is being blocked from port 53 (DNS) at the router. If I disable Skynet, everything works fine. If I try to unban 192.168.1.106, it indicates it is not banned. If I try to Whitelist 192.168.1.106, it indicates it is already whitelisted (ditto with 192.168.1.0/24 ip range).

So it seem Skynet is blocking this laptop. This laptop is setup the same as my other laptops for IP, Gateway, DNS.

Has anyone seen this behavior before?

When I disabled the ethernet and activated wireless, everything started working again! What is going on ???

Thank you!!! What a rookie error. My only excuse is using a tiny portable keyboard because the laptop keyboard is hokie. %^)

Thanks again!! Everything is working now.

Run
Code:
firewall stats search ip 191.168.1.1
note the block ip starts with 191 and belongs to Brazil. Do you block Brazil as a country? Or did you fat finger a dns entry?
