try to connect to a vpn service (ivacy) using latest firmware .42 and asus n66u. However I get this error:

May 12 20:15:37 pptp[1542]: Connection terminated.
May 12 20:15:37 pptp[1542]: Modem hangup
May 12 20:15:44 pptp[1542]: Hangup (SIGHUP)
May 12 20:15:44 pptp[1542]: Terminating on signal 15
May 12 20:15:44 pptp[1542]: Exit.

it works fine with wiundows and android. Any ideas?

The latest firmware is 374.42
Read the changelog (in zipfile), it may be solved.

MPPE is disabled by default. See this post on how to enable it.

The webui has a "PPTP Option" setting where you can select encryption.
