I would avoid it until Samsung have a fix.

Synology have removed it from their compatibility list as well.

Long-time reader, first time poster.

Just dropped one of these Samsung drives into my WHS. Loving the performance thus far, but this is of obvious concern to me.

Post at souceforge mentioned that programs using the IDENTIFY DEVICE call were the culprits. Anyone know of other common programs that could make this problematic call?

Mostly wondering about SpeedFan as it is on my whs and uses SMART monitoring (of some kind).

Since i'm running on H55, I may qualify as one of the "cannot reproduce" scenarios, but until I get home I won't know for certain.

Any thoughts appreciated!
