What is the "ministun" program?

Found it here inside this Asus script (latest GPL):
/usr/sbin/getrealip.sh

Is it a scheme to report my real IP address to Google? The script is inert because the ministun program is missing from the firmware. Apparently, it's a feature that may be turned on or off (GETREALIP=y or n) in target.mak.
