What Modem should I purchase to go with new Wireless router?

umarmung, When you say the easiest to use is there a lot of set up with modems? Are they not just plug and play? I am just starting to try and learn this stuff after relying on others ( ISP ) to handle this stuff for me in the past.

They are plug and play. Just changing initial password and when things go wrong you may need to check logs and signal levels, i.e. basic user-friendliness.

No. The DOCSIS 3.1 modems Motorola MB8600, Netgear CM1000, and Arris SB8200 all use Broadcom chipsets, which are the best in the market.

The Netgear CM1000 is a good modem and probably the easiest to use of all three. If OP wants to attempt to use it with Spectrum after they indicated they are in practice open to provision a non-approved modem, then that's great for them. Worst case scenario if they buy it from Amazon, they can just promptly return it and get a CM600.

I was unaware that Spectrum might provision any other modem for Gig, but their own. Read that over at dslreports they were just doing their own at the moment. But your correct, if it can’t be provisioned it can be simply returned.

I will call again before I purchase just to be sure, But the rep i spoke with said it was not a issue and they did the same as me themselves. Its going to be a little bit before I buy as I just purchased three routers to set up my Network using AIMESH.
