What should I replace my RT-66 with?

New Around Here
My RT 66 has been acting pretty strange the last couple of months. Frequently dropping connections and some clients occasionally appear connected but are stranded until they get a reboot.

I have a 2 year replacement warranty at Best Buy ... what should I replace with, RT 68?

Can I back up settings from my 66 and restore them on a newer Asus router?

Thanks

No, you can't backup and restore your old settings to a different model router.

When troubleshooting, download the latest firmware from asus website (or Merlin). After you flash the firmware, reset the router to factory defaults and reconfigure from scratch. Don't restore old backup settings. Then remove all of your old wireless profiles on your wireless clients and then reconnect to create a new profile. Use 20 MHz only for 2.4 ghz.
