New Around Here
Hi,
I've set up a VPN with our RT-N66U. I can connect to it remotely
no problem from my Mac.
However, I cannot see any of our hosts. I can logon into the ASUS
remotely and I can see all the clients. However, when I ping them,
none respond.
My local IP is setup to be 10.0.1.X
and the remote is the 192. default.

Sorry to be so thick, but I was assuming once the VPN connection is
established, the hosts on the remote network should be visible.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,
jeff

Make sure that VPN clients and your home LAN are both inside the same subnet (i.e. 192.168.1.xxx). Otherwise, you will need to add a static route to access other devices behind the router, or have your VPN client configured to route all traffic through the VPN's default gateway (no idea if/how it can be done on a Mac).

Thank-you .. actually the MAC does have a Network preference to route all
traffic through the VPN connection.

So, it looks like all is good.

Thanks for your help
jeff
