Why not to use a VPN

Let's try to be civil ok?

There are folks on this board, and on this thread that know things that would... be rather chilling - go ahead and trust your VPN access when running downloading torrents - your VPN provider is keeping logs, and they can be legally compelled to turn over data on demand.

One of the problems that bother me with using a vpn is the traffic can be identified. Lets say the ISP I use is in the process of buying some fancy machines from the west that can identify and flag/block/alert all vpn traffic running through their gateway. (DPI)
I was hoping obsproxy would have caught on a little more then it has, because I want my openvpn traffic to look like https.

This is a good topic.
