Just noticed when using the built in Wifi Scanner Wifi radar function included in Merlin's firmware on my AC86 and probably in ASUS firmware also that the scan doesn't give you a complete picture of your WiFi environment.
The scanner does not show 2.4 Ghz signals using G radios. Other scanning apps do, so if you are looking for something on your frequency that is killing your bandwidth you may need to use another tool. Same issue if you are looking for a rogue APs.
The router however will communicate with 2.4 Ghz G radios just fine as I use an old Linksys 54G as a media bridge.
