Well it looks like i have to RMA the router and not happy about it and this is the second time.. This issue is the Wifi speeds gotten so slow like molasses. I have tried ASUS FW as well RMerlin's FW updates and revert back and forth and still same slow speeds... It was working before and get blazing fast Wifi speeds and has this happened to you folks on this router? What is you do to fix this issue and thanks for reading.

Do you have the same problem on both bands ?
I have indeed problems with my wifi but more on the 5 GHz band.
I got this reply from Jeremy at Asus :
Try this version of beta firmware:
3.0.0.4.352
https://www.asuswebstorage.com/navigate/s/65BEA3BC99A1492194AB409498C737214

This beta-version has new Broadcom drivers : 6.30.102.9 (r365174) .

I'm not sure if it has updated drivers, but the performance seems to be improved over the last few versions.

Just try it out, i have heard good things about wireless on this .352 firmware. But being wireless, it could work well for some, and not others. So testing it yourself is always best imo.

I had issues with 2.4 network... No matter what FW I used it simply wasn't working. 5Ghz was rock stable.
I replaced with a Netgear R6300.

I have the AC66U running the .352 Beta f/w , a N66U running TomatoUSB Shibby and a TP-Link WDR-4300 wuth TP-Links own f/w running beside each other to compare the wifi-preformance , eg stability.
