Can you get something to enable an Asus rt ac 88 u to use WiFi instead of a wired connection to access my ISP and if not what Asus router does that

Yes, there are plenty of posts about this sort of thing. Search for "travel routers", "hotel internet", etc. Or just use a "normal" wireless router configured as an access point and plug it into the WAN port of your router.

I'm not sure I follow Colin.If I set up a router as an AP and then connect it into the wan port of another router how can I access the 4g network from there or am I missing something?

If I just plug a dongle into the rt ac 88 u will that work?
 
You said you wanted your router to access the internet over "WiFi". You said nothing about mobile phone networks.
