Wndr3700 revisions question

I am confused. Is the rev 4 seen only on r21 models that much better?

Also the new boxes say N600, is that a hardware upgrade?

I don't know about which revisions are better or worse, but I can tell you that I got a red box that said N600 and it was 02R1 (r21).
