I do not have the unit to play with, but looking at the latest firmware release notes, the Zyxel ARMOR Z1 has 5G MU-MIMO enabled drivers in the latest release [v1.00(AAWB.2)C]. This AC2350 router uses Qualcomm’s IPQ and 2.4GHz solutions, but the Quantenna 5GHz QSR1000 also found in the Netgear R7500(v1) and the Asus RT-87U, which at this time does not have publicly released firmware enabling MU-MIMO capabilities on those units.
It should however be noted that in the Zyxel firmware release notes, it is stated that “MU-MIMO has interoperability issue with some of MU-MIMO devices.” So, it still looks like Quantenna’s MU-MIMO drivers are buggy.
