Zyxel NSA220 NAS & Media Receiver???

Hi All,

sorry if this is a daft question but I presently have all my mp3 (12000+) files loaded on my NSA220 (which I am very happy with by the way) and currently have a netgear mp101 media receiver (which is pants)!!!! Does anyone have any recomendations on what receiver is best with this NAS device? I like the look of the squeezebox duet but I keep seeing that the server needs to run slimserver software and I am not sure if it is possible to load this onto the Zyxel NSA220.

Any help or advice really would be appreciated on this.

What's the problem with the MP101?

As far as I know, SlimDevices players need a Squeezeserver.

Hi Tim,

with regards the mp101, it will regularly stop part way thru a track, stop for about 30 seconds, then start playing the next one. It has the latest firmware etc.

Now, with regards to the duet, I was hoping to run the slimserver software on the NAS somehow but cannot see that this is possible.

Sorry, but I haven't been able to find much hacking info on the NSA-220 either. And I don't have any recommendations for networked music players.

Forgot to mention the Roku Soundbridge. It has been around for awhile, but it is a pretty popular and solid product.
