This thing is terribly frustrating. The setting is missing to turn off the blue cave light if it goes into mesh mode.

I am accessing the setting from my RT-AC88U router GUI page because once Blue Cave is set as mesh node, it's GUI page is unavailable.

How to get over this? As you can see in the screenshot above, there is no setting to do anything with LED brightness.

Which FW version you are using in RT-AC88U?

RT-AC88U is on 3.0.0.4.384.32799
Blue Cave is on 3.0.0.4.384.32546

Both have been set up after performing Factory Reset.

maybe you could do it with SSH?
remove Aimesh, save all parameters, turn off LED and compare which one toggled.
setup Aimesh again, SSH to router and change this parameter with 'nvram set "parameter_name"="LED_turn_off_value"' and 'nvram commit'.
Dont know but could work.

Cannot SSH into node. If I enable SSH access or change any setting, AIMesh asks to factory reset Blue Cave before adding it again as a node.

Could it be a browser issue of some sort? I'm able to turn off the LED settings on my Blue Cave without any problem (accessing it via Chrome on MacOS).

Interesting... I used Edge and Firefox and both do not give me the LED Brightness slider. But it works on Safari in iOS. Thanks guys, I can say that this problem is somewhat fixed by usage of Chrome or Safari.

BTW ASUS router GUI does act funny on Firefox. Changes not getting saved, unresponsive, slow loading. ASUS needs to fix it on priority.

Had the same problem with my RT-AC2900 with 3 Lyra in AiMesh.
Tried different browsers as suggested (Safari both on Mac and iPhone, Chrome, Opera and even Edge on Windows) without success.
Finally I solved the problem by using the iOS app ASUSRouter.
Check connected devices and use AiMesh tab.
