RMerlin
I have a 2 AC68P - Setup as an AP using 378.52. I am unable to get the time set on one of the routers and the log is full of Start NTP Update messages (Approx every 30 seconds) I have reset it to factory defaults and set it up manually. The routers are configure identically so it is baffling why one works and the other not.

If I try to ping the NTP server or any website for that matter from network tools it always says bad address.
I have searched the forum for this type of error and have seen your responses to those instances but still have been able to resolve the issue.

Is there any command that I could enter to set the time manually?

Thanks for all the work you put into the firmware and support here on the Forum.

AFAIK, APs can't directly access the Internet, which is why the other network tools also fail.

there seems to be a bug in RT-AC68U_378.52_2.trx in the PPTP VPN section, once multiple pptp accounts are created and applied, and then new accounts are added the password field shows the password with the username right after it in existing accounts.

EDIT: it seems to keep appending the username to the password (of existing accounts) each time a new account is created and applied. or if an account is removed and then apply clicked, or when an account is removed and a new account added then apply clicked

I do have the same experience, but thought it had to do something with the '@' I've used in the password. After changing the password I haven't seen it anymore.

Using 378.52_2 on a RT-AC66R. Anytime I go into the admin panel, it appears the http server in the unit is dying. Anyone else experiencing that or am I the Lone Ranger out here?
This problem was resolved by turning off HTTPS for the admin panel.

Thanks fixed with this commit.

Try setting a static channel, in case it's automatically switching to a channel that's not supported by your clients (that can happen if you messed with the router's region, for instance).

test with the follow settings:
1. Wireless-Modus to "N only" & NO "b/g protection"
2. Channels: 40Mhz only or 20MHz only
3. if nothing helps use a static channel

with my nexus 7 tablet (2012) I had the same probs after leaving 374.4xxxx last year...always after some hours or days slow & broken connection....
now I use these settings:

1. Wireless-Modus to "N only" & NO "b/g Schutz"
2. Channels: 40Mhz
all others as standard.....

My router : AC68U

Thanks man its perfect now setting to static.

Who is using it anyway with all those alternatives around? I would like to see the firmware stripped from any non-routing functionality. A router is not a NAS...
Your choice....
For me router is a nas, web serwer, print serwer, cloud etc.
If You don't use it, simple-disable this funcionality or sell advanced router and take one from Your ISP

To each his / her own, of course. But as soon as you list a different function, it automatically isn't just a router anymore. ;)

of course not only router, but companies are developing more and more powerful router not only for routing ;)
