So what's wrong with moca adapters?

That's a good point that consumers might have turned away from MOCA because it might be too complicated for them. But, after trying to set up powerline adapters, I haven't found it to be a walk in the park either when you have set it up as an access point.

    Rapidly blinking light

I have a Asus 1900 router and I notice that the wan (Internet) led light is rapidly blinking while the 2.4 ghz, 5 ghz, and power led lights are on and don't rapidly blink. Does this rapid blinking mean something?

Which Wifi Channel to choose? Channel 7?

So, would the best choice be channel 6 then? Channel 6 only has one other network on that channel while channel 11 has two or three other networking.

Which Wifi Channel to choose? Channel 7?

It looks like I posted the same screenshoot for channel 1 twice. Here's screenshot where it recommends channel 11: Also, why doesn't Wifi analyzer show anything for 5GHz? I don't know if my computer can connect to it because my desktop Dell inspiron with Intel Pentium radio type supports...

Which Wifi Channel to choose? Channel 7?

New Asus 1900 Wifi router can't reach this room so I downloaded Wifi analyzer but it confuses me. It keeps going back and forth on the recommended channel: In this screenshoot, it shows channel 1: But, then in another screenshot, it shows channel 7: And, in this screenshot, it shows...

    Powerline adapter recommendations

I'm really confused about which powerline adapter to get- I've read various reviews, including the ranking here, about powerline adapters and they're all over the place. One review will say this is the best powerline adapter, but then another review will say that same powerline adapter was the...

So what's wrong with moca adapters?

Whenever there's an issue with extending wifi, the standard answer seems to be to use a powerline adapter. And, then, as an after thought, a moca adapter also gets mentioned as another possible option. But, most of the attention and suggestion seems to advocate powerline adapters. Why don't...

Extending range- new router vs extender vs wifi adapter vs access point?

How complicated would be to drop the ethernet inside the walls like that? Is this something that requires an electrician. And, there's nothing I can do with the existing coaxial cable in the office? It sounds like a powerline line adapter might be the best option for my situation. Are there...

Extending range- new router vs extender vs wifi adapter vs access point?

I already know my SO won't be happy with etherne cable taped to the wall so that's a no go. And, is there any reason why you suggest to get the RT-AC56U router, which is selling for around $90, as an AP and not just recycle my old router?

Extending range- new router vs extender vs wifi adapter vs access point?

What's the best way to extend wifi range? Would it be a better router, extender, wifi adapter, or access point? In order to save money, I cut the cord and got a Android streaming TV device for my TV but it wouldn't stream so I needed to move the router and modem from my office to near the TV...

    ASUS RT-AC68U vs ASUS RT-AC87U

Thanks everybody for your help. I got the Asus rt-ac68u as suggested instead of the rt-ac87u. Unfortunately, the signal was not strong enough. Sometimes, I couldn't connect. Other times, I could get wifi to the upstairs desktop. Even then, it was slower to watch videos. It would take longer to...

    ASUS RT-AC68U vs ASUS RT-AC87U

I need some help in trying to decide between these two wifi routers, ASUS RT-AC68U or ASUS RT-AC87U. Since the prices are fairly close, do you just go with the newer ASUS RT-AC87U which has the higher specs? I'm looking for three main factors: range, reliability/dependability, and speed. I...

ASUS RT-AC68R: What's Wrong With It?

Is there something wrong with Asus rt-ac68r? On Amazon, it's selling for $113 which seems pretty low and that seems like a signal that there's something wrong with it that I'm not aware of. In comparison, the Asus rt-at68u is selling for $160 even though I have heard conflicting reports that...
