Hi all,
I was wondering if I pick your brains on recent issues I am having. The router is out of warranty now so no going back but it can certainly be thrown in a bin!
It's never been a massively stable unit - Merlin made it a lot more usable but I've had stability issues from day one - all managable.
Recently however, it seems I just lose all connection. Not just wireless but wired too.
VPN also has no connection and for all intent and purpose, it's a dud until a hard reboot.
Annoyingly I can;t check logs as they go along with the reboot.
When it works, it does work nicely but this seems to be a weekly occurrence at the bare minimum.
Recent times I've noticed it - there has not been extra load - if anything, there has been less load than usual.
Checking temp:
2.4 GHz: 47°C - 5 GHz: 70°C - CPU: 83°C
Is that high or normal?
No. of devices on an always on state is around 12-13 units but nothing is hungry unless the NAS is being used.
Fortunately both times in the last 2 weeks I have been at home to check but had I been away/holiday etc, I'd be pretty annoyed as we use cctv for remote viewing + control lights/blinds remotely too.
Any thoughts?
Firmware is currently on 380.58 - few versions out but can't see anything in the later versions that talks about stability - it's just not something I expect from a Merlin release which is why I am heading towards hardware issue being more likely?
Thanks in advance!
