New Around Here
Need a router that in all honesty to even think for the safety of an average household
one that does not need something preconfigured like device communication printers media server ect one that should be industry standard with out this enabled one thats has Guest lan preconfigured also has Guest wifi preconfigured out the box one thats suited for like 99% households who just want to access the internet and nothing else
no doorway for instusion be it from user within the network and those that try from outside

also want one with the latest wifi 6

Recommend me

There is no router with Guest network preconfigured. There are routers with Guest Wi-Fi options. If this Guest Wi-Fi offers WPA3 only very few clients will be able to connect. No router guarantees full safety. Most routers are safe enough for average household though. Vulnerabilities are eventually patched only after the discovery. Most new routers sold today are Wi-Fi 6 capable. Latest Wi-Fi 6E requires 6E capable clients.

Basically any new home router covers your requirements, but you have to configure it. They don't come preconfigured.

Thanks for your input I knew the obvious would be stated but honestly having learnt the hard way in the early days without any knowledge of these things later on down the years I started to be aware of how easy entry for intrusion could be

1) someone within the network has been caught infected sure you dont know whats going on in the view of an aka average household member

2) or outside people try force through shared services ports iots ect and what have you still you dont know whats going on in the view of an aka average household member

3) how dumb it is that these settings are defaulted

Once again thanks for your input
Anyone else recommend a router with ease of use and an alternative way towards a VLAN setup

For VLAN setup you need to look at business gear. Home routers don't offer user configurable VLANs.

There is now way to recommend you a router without basic information what this router is expected to do and what budget it has to fit in.

Something that has the capability to isolate (truly on LAN) and WAN any budget would do even upto 1k
I and we just want internet access no need for a network

Sound like you don't know much about networking. Any current home router has Guest Wi-Fi option and isolates the Guest Wi-Fi from the Main Wi-Fi, provides Internet access and has built-in WAN firewall rejecting all non solicited connections by default. Basic Wi-Fi 6 routers start under $100.

Here is one basic model from Asus as an example:

It has more than you need plus security feature called AiProtection from TrendMicro. The same model is also called RT-AX58U.

This is one of the most popular Asus routers folks around use:

The model is RT-AX86U with cheaper option RT-AX86S. Vertical space saving design and good support from the manufacturer.

To add to what @Tech9 said, every Asus AX (even AC) router has the option to configure a guest network. If you use Guest Network #1 it even isolates it into separate VLANs (you can't configure the VLANs, but it does it for you and puts them on a different subnet, plus uses two different firewalls to isolate them from the main LAN even further).

The inbound (WAN to LAN) firewall is solid. Leave IPv6 disabled for best security, it is not needed. Disable uPNP and WPS. AiProtection doesn't offer a huge benefit but as long as your internet speed isn't more than 500 megs (give or take) enabling it shouldn't hurt anything (depending on the router model, it can start to impact your internet throughput at high speeds when enabled).

If you're willing to spend $1k you can get some nice professional gear with more advanced VLAN and firewalls etc but do you have the knowledge and ability to configure that? From what it sounds like for your use case, an Asus will do just fine and give you perfectly good security. Nothing is immune to everything but it is a tried and true platform that is very mature and stable at this point.
