Hi,
We have got a new ISP in our building. They provide a special router that must be used (not RJ45 in the wall).

I have an Asus AC RT68U since before and I would like be able to use all features like built in VPN.
The RT68U is located at a perfect spot in the house which provide a good wifi coverage so I would like to keep it there.

Is there anyway I could setup the Asus router (I use Merlin) such that it connects to the ISP router over wireless and provides wireless access to all computers also keeping the VPN and other features that are available in router mode?

Not with Stock or RMerlin firmware you can't. :(

What special router does the ISP provide? Can't you bridge it and plug in your own router?

It is the Swedish COM-hem. The contact in the wall is special, so I cannot just plug in my Asus to the ISP contact.
The ISP router has this special contact (used for WAN). Yes the COM-hem router supports bridge mode, but I don't want to connect the two routers over a wired connection. My ASUS router is located in the other side of the building, using a wiresless bridge is what I need.

Could you recommend another FW, what supports this?
