Does QOS affect services running on the router

I'm running nzbget (via entware) on my AC87U.

I was wondering if it's going to be properly throttled by QOS (as a file transfer)? Because when I open the "Adaptive QOS" page the bandwidth monitor only shows traffic from my devices, not from the router.

I'm pretty sure QoS is only applied to traffic going through the WAN interface. Because there would be no need to apply QoS on the LAN interfaces that run at 1 Gbps max.
