Matching MoCA adapter brand to the modem?

It could be anyplace including a crawl space or attic. Don't necessarily need to be near an AC outlet as some AMPs can be powered over coaxial.

Remember seeing a wall wart plugged in with a piece of coaxial cable on it going from wall wart to coaxial jack?
It seems that the upstairs line is the issue, as the basement is now working after some troubleshooting. There's no wall wart I can find so maybe there's a splitter issue for the wiring going upstairs? I'm gonna test some things and find out.

connect the two working moca modems directly to the cable going upstairs at each end. No obvious splitter involved, just the cable.. Do they sync and what rates ?
