    If the base binaries don't change (by Asus), the new Merlin firmware will only contain new features or minor bugfixes.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 384.8 is now available

    My 5Ghz band is going nuts after some time, switching to channel 157. Even when the GUI says channel 36. Firmware 384.8_2 Haven't tried factory reset (always did dirty upgrades) but anyone have seen/resolved this before?

    It (the core functionality of data transport) still works with SMB 2/3. Only discovery is just not automatic anymore, you manually need to add a network share. The feature of automatic browsing can be considered to be lost in order to tighten security. Sh*t happens, evolution sometimes has this...

    A reboot would be beneficial when the router is not responsive or unable to sustain a wireless connection. I guess that rules out voice commands to reboot it... So you'd better teach your wife to pull the power chord and put it back again :-) Verstuurd vanaf mijn SM-G965F met Tapatalk
