Gigabit ethernet and slow wifi speeds on AC88U

Just tried disabling AiProtection and it didn't make a difference. And I forgot to mention that zonjabe 5GHz bandwidth set to 80 and the control channel to 161...

Gigabit ethernet and slow wifi speeds on AC88U

Firmware is 3.0.0.4.385_20631, did a full factory reset after upgrading. Running AiMesh with one additional node, and AiProtection, no QoS. Disabled Roaming assist, Airtime Fairness, and Universal Beamforming. Enabled IGMP Snooping. Other than that, pretty much stock.

Gigabit ethernet and slow wifi speeds on AC88U

I just upgraded to Xfinity Gigabit. On an ethernet connection, I am easily pulling 800mb down and 41 up - what I would expect. However on my Pixel 5, standing right next to the router, I'm only getting 415 or so down. The pixel 5 has 2x2 antenna and a theoretical top speed of 866 down. I...

Devices connecting to wrong AiMesh-enabled router/node

I'm having similar issues where it seems clients move between nodes too readily and disconnect/reconnect for short periods. What's a good rule of thumb for this? Is RA required for AiMesh to function well? Would a setting of -85db be too high? Would decreasing the power be a viable option as...

    AC88u AiMesh Instability

Other thing I'm seeing is short internet drops (while still seemingly connected to wifi) from some devices...

    AC88u AiMesh Instability

So I did a factory reset on everything last night. So far I'm not getting the same network drops - however I am seeing an issue with my Google Home /Chromecast devices. They work just fine on their own, but I can't see them /modify the settings from the Google Home app. This worked fine...

    AC88u AiMesh Instability

3.0.0.4.385.20631 Logged into the new router, installed new firmware, factory reset it. Logged into existing router, set up AiMesh, selected the new router, it sync'd, and then rebooted everything. I did on the new router, but didn't on the old as it was already working on that firmware...

    AC88u AiMesh Instability

I had a working RT-ac88u on the latest stock firmware, with no issues other than some parts of my house having weak signal /no signal. I purchased a second 88u and set it up in AiMesh mode (also on latest firmware). Backhaul is wired ethernet. Since setting this up, the network had become...

    RT-AC88U requires frequent reboots

I just did this the other day (factory reset). How do I reset/configure to ensure that this doesn't happen again? Does Merlin's firmware have this issue?

    RT-AC88U requires frequent reboots

Chrome, but when it occurs it happens on multiple devices.

    RT-AC88U requires frequent reboots

My RT-AC88U has several problems that I can't figure out. I'm on the latest firmware (3.0.0.4.384.20379), have tried factory reset, and the only settings I've changed are to disable airtime fairness and enable IGMP Snooping on both 5GHz and 2.4GHz (I have various Chromecasts and Google Home's...

    [Release 382] Asuswrt-Merlin 382.1 is now available

Again it's fine on the Asus August 2016 firmware - always comes up instantly. I wonder if it's some setting that I have or if I should factory reset.....

    [Release 382] Asuswrt-Merlin 382.1 is now available

I just installed 382_1 on my RT-AC88u after having problems with the latest asus firmware in relation to my Chromecast. With the latest asus firmware my chromecasts wouldnt even be discoverable from my Android phone. With an older asus firmware (Aug 2016) Chromecast worked perfectly, showed up...
