    So I think I found the answer via the Cloudflare community forum: This is an answer from 2018 however, I'll keep looking for a workaround somehow. For now it means I need to make a decision: cloudflare or openvpn. Or is there a third option I haven't thought of?

    Where would I place these rules? The /overlay/opt/scripts/firewall-start.sh doesn't let me write to it with Vi.

    Thats the odd thing to me as well, I have a static IP, so DDNS shouldn't be the issue. My A record in Cloudflare points to my static ip and my router advertises that exact ip as confirmed by the ifconfig commands you gave me.

    Thanks Gerrits, that helped a bunch. Using your curl suggestions confirms the router bypass function works as should. Unfortunately that doesn't solve the problem yet. I'm not sure what you mean by DDNS provider, as I have a static IP from my ISP, but maybe thats outside the scope of this...

    Its's been a while but unfortunately turning on the 'Router it-self bypass VPN' function did not solve the issue. Turning off the VPN does, which confirms it's VPN related. Any suggestions for me to look at?

    Just wanted to say thank you for the awesome package and functionality. I just got it up and running and got OpenVPN to run within minutes. Very happy so far and will keep exploring. Ps. Are there any guides on how to get the most out of your R7800 in regards to speed and settings?
