How to setup Pi-hole to work with Merlin?

Agree with all the above. If I could add anything, run two PiHoles. A backup PiHole recently became useful use when a cheap micro sd card died on my primary Rpi.

    Pi-Hole or Diversion or Unbound?

I'm bias... been running PiHoles (I run two) for quite some time now. Maybe pick up a cheap Raspbery Pi to play with to help decide? I messed around with Diversion installed via AMTM and its great. If I wasn't all in on PiHole I would use Diversion.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.1 is now available

Updated my RT-AX88U with Skynet installed from AMTM. Removed the USB disk, installed update and rebooted. Let it sit for 15 minutes or so and rebooted again. USB back in and working just fine. Could just be that I don’t reboot my router but the interface seems snappier now. Only (non) issue...

    NAS security help.

number 4 below might be a winner. just posting some changes I made on my NAS that I can see. 1 Merlin mentioned non standard ports. 2 disable the default admin user and create a new admin. You can use 64 characters for user if you'd like :) 3 enable the auto block. 4 allow/block IPs.

Skynet Skynet - Router Firewall & Security Enhancements

Still a Merlin FW noob… not sure why but I was not getting the fancy color charts on my RT-AX88U. AMTM alerted me of an AMTM and Skynet update. Did the updates, reset stats in Skynet, saved and it’s working. Very slick interface. PayPal donation incoming. Thanks

Skynet Skynet - Router Firewall & Security Enhancements

Merlin noob here with some generic questions… been wanting to try Skynet for some time now. With AMTM on the latest Merlin firmware I gave it ago on my RT-AX88U. 1. I assume its OK to turn off SSH after its installed? I see I can do the “LAN Only” setting and even specify a different port...

Restore Setting from RT-AC88U to RT-AX88U

Good point... any program to take screen shots automatically of all the setting pages? There are a lot of settings in the Merlin/Asus web interface to change.

Restore Setting from RT-AC88U to RT-AX88U

Understood. Fast reply thanks. Anyone have any suggestions on how I can do this. Only thing I came up with is pull up both web interfaces on 2 monitors, grab a drink and mirror the settings manually.

Restore Setting from RT-AC88U to RT-AX88U

Been a lurker for a bit here and a Merlin user for about 6 months. Can I backup my settings on my old AC88U to restore on my new AX88U? Curious if anyone has any experience with this. I have a lot setting that I rather not have to redo manually unless I have to. Being they don't seem that much...
