Thanks @RMerlin for another cycle of development, and the on-going long-lasting support.

Would wait patiently this time for Beta cycle.
If Asus did not give any new GPL this time, I think that the changes here were minors so no much testing will be needed.

Thanks to both @RMerlin and @dave14305 for thinking outside the box to rather quickly address an elusive issue with disappearing cron jobs! You guys rock!

I didn't ask them for updated GPLs, since I already merged a recent one earlier this year. I will however use this release cycle to test some significant updates that will require to be well tested. The IGD2 implementation is something I had finalised many years ago, but I kept disabled due to a major issue in Windows that wasn't properly supporting it. Recent changes by the miniupnpd author may hopefully work around that issue. And I had been holding on wsdd2 updates for a few years as the last update introduced a new issue that had forced me to stick with the previous release. A recent fix by its developer may hopefully fix it.

There are two installation files, which one should we install?

Republic of Gaming (ROG) routers, like the one shown in your screen capture (GT-AX6000), will typically have two Asus-Merlin firmware files.
The basic GUI firmware file: GT-AX6000_3004_388.7_alpha1-g83fdb5cabf_nand_squashfs.pkgtb
And a Republic of Gamers (ROG) GUI firmware file: GT-AX6000_3004_388.7_alpha1_rog-g83fdb5cabf_nand_squashfs.pkgtb
The ROG version typically has the Republic of Gamers GUI (different layout and colors) and may have a few features or settings specific to Republic of Gamers use.
Which one to you use is up to you.

Will keep watching but all good so far:
AX88U Pro
AX86U
AX58U
Thanks :)

Jumping in. Will start with my APs, though I doubt I'll have any constructive feedback.

Dirty upgrade, no issues so far. Thanks Merlin.

I tried a dirty upgrade last night but this morning I had no Internet and I couldn't access the router. I wasn't confident the router was in a good state, so I've reset multiple ways and manually reinstalled all the scripts in my signature. Let this be a test-bed 👍

Windows 10 couldn't request upnp on this update correctly. Downgraded back to latest ax86u firmware and all works again. It all worked fine on Windows 11 from memory. Can anybody else test this?

So far working well , will give it a few hours or days to see if anything strange shows up
8 hours all running as it should nothing in logs all clients maintaining connections , looking good on both routers
Thanks

Try launching miniupnpd in debug mode:

Code:
killall miniupnpd
miniupnpd -f /etc/upnp/config -v -d

Look for errors when you run the software that tries to open a port.

This also repeats with the port number changing .

Games show moderate Nat still. Windows 10 latest updates applied.
Fiber ont directly plugged into ax86u using dhcp connection type.
Can go back and forth with latest non beta firmware and all works normal on non beta

Time to try a factory reset on router edit this didn't fix it

qBittorrent entries showed up but games such as call of duty via bnet wouldn't show.

This is unrelated to miniupnp.

That log does not show any error, it doesn't in fact show any client query, only usual broadcast traffic.
