adblocker like diversion does not work when iCloud private relay is enabled

This may not be surprised.

iCloud private relay works "like a VPN", which will hide IP address even in the local network. This feature prevents Diversion ad-blocker from working.

Does anyone have any ideas to fix this issue? Or it is simply not solvable?

Looks like Apple has you over a barrel. They even admit that some sites will not work right...

Yeah, I like the idea that I can hide my ip with iCloud private relay. At the same time, I enjoy the internet without ads. Just can't have them both.

Just looked into it. AdGuard only blocks ads in safari (correct me if I am wrong). It is not free either.

I have disabled iCould private relay. But thanks for the suggestion.

Correct; that’s what a Content Blocker does on iOS.
