Aicloud Android app update.. merlin firmware issue or Asus?

Asus updated the Aicloud android app today and completely redid it. Currently the app can't seem to connect when not on the wifi network with the router (through the internet / WAN). the old version of the app worked perfectly and connected to the nas over LTE etc..

Has anyone tried tried this app with the stock firmware from off of the network?

In the log for Aicloud and the router overall, it doesn't even show the connect attempt from my phone?

Any thoughts?

your problem. since im using merlin and already update the android app. i can confirmed it is working fine

I had the same problem when the app updated.

I went into android settings, Apps, stopped the app and deleted the data and cache for AiCloud, opened the app again and went through the set up wizard and then it was working as it should.

May work for you too.
