Antenna Position/Upgrades

Given this router is 2.4, 5 and 6GHz, can any or all of the antennas be upgraded? Only certain ones?

I'm particularly looking for 6GHz downstairs and a room over, which is currently lacks.

I reside in the US and don't want to break any laws.

My understanding was always antennas needed to be for the frequency they carry so obviously I shouldn't just be able to buy all new antennas(legality aside) and have it work, right?

I'm not trying to sound ignorant, rather get educated. Any advice, parts lists, technical explanations, would be appreciated.

Most of the high end models the antenna are fixed and non-detachable. It may help to use a WiFi Network Analyzer App on a smart phone or similar and check for WiFi signal strength. The good news about living in the US is the regulations are less stringent than most other countries. Unfortunately for 6 GHz it is for indoor use ONLY unless AFC is implemented. Only a handful of products advertise AFC. I personally use TP-Link Range Extenders (with 6 GHz which work decently at extending range, (indoors only currently, and wired here, wireless at another home)....

6GHz HATES walls!! Your best choice is to use an Access point/AIMesh on the second floor, wired down to your main router.
