Hello, Is there any beta release for BT10? Its been months without any update.

I'd only expect an update if there's a problem with the existing firmware or a security issue. Are you dealing with any problems right now?

Looks like a very minor update 39102 to 39106. I upgraded manually because the checking for updates didn't find this release. After restart the 6ghz radio on the main node stopped broadcasting. Restarted again and fine for a couple of hours now. I might need to reset the whole thing.

I had to manually upgrade too but its been more than 10 hours no problem at all include 2.4-5-6 and mlo. Kinda stable. Honestly the only issue i had with previous firmware was about web gui more then devices.

MLO was never stable for me with my Samsung Galaxy S25 series phones so I have abandoned it for now. Under MLO, roaming between nodes causes the phone to disconnect from Wifi so it becomes unusable for me. May be a few firmware updates down the road it will be fixed (or not).

Putting aside MLO issues, this update looks the best one yet. Quite stable so far.

I have another question also but some long and confusing i hope you have time.
I’m currently optimizing my ZenWiFi BT10 (WiFi 7) mesh system, which is running a 10G wired backhaul between the nodes. I have a mix of cutting-edge WiFi 7/MLO clients and some legacy devices, and I’m planning to implement a 2-SSID approach to keep the performance peak-ready.

However, I have a few specific questions regarding ASUS’s Guest Network Pro (SDN) implementation and hardware-accelerated encryption.

The Proposed Setup:​

1. Primary SSID (Utility Network):

• Bands: 2.4GHz + 5GHz (Smart Connect ON).
• Security: WPA2-Personal / AES.
• WPS: Must be enabled (for a legacy Digitürk STB).
• Target Clients: LG OLED TV, PS5, Xbox Series X, Xiaomi Mi Box, Digitürk STB, Samsung A20 (2.4G only).

2. Guest Network Pro / SDN (VIP Network):

• Bands: 5GHz + 6GHz (MLO / Smart Connect ON).
• Security: WPA3-Personal with AES+GCMP-256.
• Target Clients: iPhone 17 Pro Max, iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max (6E), MacBook Air M4 (6E).

My Questions for the Experts:​

1. Primary vs. SDN Choice: Since WPS is physically/software-bound to the Primary SSID on most ASUS firmware, is it the right move to make the WPA2 "Utility" network the Primary one? Or is there a way to trigger WPS on a specific SDN network without breaking the WPA3-Only state of the VIP network?
2. Independent Smart Connect: Does Guest Network Pro allow Smart Connect to run independently on each SSID? (e.g., 2.4+5 on Primary vs. 5+6 on Guest). I want to ensure my iPhone 17s stay strictly on 5/6GHz and never drop to 2.4GHz.
3. GCMP-256 on Apple Silicon: For the iPhone 16/17 Pro (A18/19 Pro) and MacBook M4, is there any real-world throughput or stability advantage in forcing AES+GCMP-256 over standard AES? Do these chips offer superior line-rate hardware offloading for GCMP-256?
4. SSH Reporting (TXBF): My AiMesh node reports txbf_bfe_cap=0 and txbf_bfr_cap=0 via SSH, whereas the Main router shows active caps. Since I’m on a 10G wired backhaul, is this just a known reporting glitch in ASUSWRT 5.0/6.0, or is Beamforming actually disabled on the node?

I want to make sure the "VIPs" are fully isolated for maximum MLO efficiency while keeping the legacy "Utility" devices stable.

Must be enabled for connecting this device. Can be disabled after, the device will stay connected. For your configuration - entirely your choice. You'll find the limitations yourself. With ASUS devices the more you play with settings and "optimize" the closer you get to factory reset. Especially valid for ZenWiFi mesh systems. Look at the firmware as perpetual beta. Newer version is not guaranteed to be better. Good luck!

Most people would prefer public WAN IP (if available, some ISPs use private IPs, CG-NAT) for their own gateway (the ASUS in your case). Some ISPs don't have true bridge or passthrough mode. I don't know what options are available to you. Test PPPoE connection on the ASUS and see what happens. General advice is to avoid double NAT configurations due to eventual use case specific complications.

A fellow forum member posted a link to interesting article. Read it before you continue the "maximum MLO efficiency" optimization. There is a lot of false advertising around. Too late to save you money, but may save you time at least.

For the GNP, I would suggest changing AES+GCMP256 to AES if possible. I do not believe 6E clients support 256-bit encryption....
