Title says it all. Is WPA3 supported on 86u model when using Merlin firmware? Also id like to ask if wpa3 is more secure than wpa2 personal aes that is present in current firmware.

Weird. I read about it a little bit and some people claim hardware needs to support it. Im pretty sure 86u has the right hardware because synology 2600ac is the exact same hardware as 86u and it supports wpa3.
 
You'd probably just turn it off even if it was supported. It's been flaky at best on networks with a wide range of devices connecting and is the first thing that gets turned off after a factory reset.

ac86u is broadcom based - synology rt2600ac is qca based
