After I typed in the password
Run the router as Router. Don't connect anything to it. Just go through setup to get the GUI. Play with the menus, let it run. See if it crashes again.

You had to aggressively push down the reset button for the power button to work correctly?SOLVED!!!! My power button seems to be not functioning correctly. I had to aggressively push down the reset button to get it to recognize.
Thanks for everybody's help! I am currently running merlin 384.17 and I did the factory reset after firmware update. Thanks again!!!
