Hi I’m thinking of testing this FW to try to see if it fixes issues I have with XD6 nodes dropping off the mesh.
Would be coming from latest Merlin 3004 388 8 b1, does anyone have any recommendations, thoughts or experience on this ? ie will it potentially make wired mesh nodes more stable or should I just concentrate on the node devices in isolation?
There have been a few recent discussions here on AiMesh issues where people found using the same firmware version for main router + the AiMesh nodes seemed to work best and result in fewer problems/issues or node drops. Something to consider and test in your use case.

Thank you, I’ve been scratching my head about that as if I move from Merlin 3.0.0.4.388.8_b1 to stock, the RT-AX86U Pro has in reverse chronological order:
3.0.0.6.102_34313
3.0.0.6.102_34312
3.0.0.4.388_24199
3.0.0.4.388_24198
3.0.0.4.388_23565
3.0.0.4.388_23285
and the ZenWifi XD6 has in reverse chronological order:
3.0.0.4.388_23773
3.0.0.4.388_21380
3.0.0.4.386_49356
3.0.0.4.386_48966
then how do I pair them? I currently have the two in bold and Merlin’s 3.0.0.4.388 changelog mentions his latest merged GPL is 388_24353 (I am not sure if or how GPL matches the references above).
As such the best match appears my current XD6 388_23773 FW and the RT-AX86U 388_24199 FW?
Alternatively, put the XD6 back to the last 386, but the RT-AX86U Pro doesn’t really have a recent 386 series FW.
