- Password Policy Upgrade – Minimum of 10 characters, including at least one letter, one digit, and one special character; disallows consecutive identical characters; hardens defense against brute-force attacks.
- HTTPS on 8443 – Management interface now served over TLS by default.
- UPnP Disabled – Universal Plug and Play starts in the off state for reduced surface exposure.
- AiCloud Authentication Hardening (CWE-287) – Added layered verification.
- Authentication Logic Refactor – Removed redundant code paths for a lean sign-in flow.

Wow, I am confused. I thought products on the end of life list no longer received firmware updates.
This is like the fifth FW update since I went to start looking for a replacement for mine.
As long as they continue to produce updates I will be happy to continue using this model.

It’s a really good router. I replaced it with the BE92U mainly for the extra RAM, better processor, and MLO with WiFi 7 for my future iPhones. But honestly, even though I’m happy with the BE92U, the AX92U is still an excellent product.

Between us, WiFi 7 and MLO aren’t that exceptional—it’s mostly marketing hype. I’m still keeping my AX92U, which I bought back in 2020. Plus, the AX92U is supported by Gnuton (Asuswrt-Merlin), which is a big plus.
