Sure, check the IPV6 section in Advanced settings. Make sure it is disabled.

Exactly as you can see in the picture, I have this feature turned off. It was turned off before the update and it's still turned off. As soon as I connect with the VPN turned off, I have a dial-up connection. I turn on the VPN on the laptop and everything is OK. Anyway, when Asus responds, I'll post it here right away.

So I finally got a call from Asus support. I feel like they read the forum pages to see what the latest stable firmware is. Their solution? They sent me a link to firmware 3.0.0.4.388_33427-gc525e4e and told me to try it and if I have any problems, to send them feedback. So I don't know if they're kidding me or if they think I'm a complete idiot.

Took me 10 seconds to check ASUS Support page, @tiomiguel. Beta firmware always starts with 9.0.0.x (3.0.0.x is a regular release) and the version number is smaller than the firmware you discuss in this thread.

Sorry everyone, I previously pointed out that the lag issue was caused by IPv6, but after using it for a while, I realized that it’s not just an IPv6 problem. Even after switching this router to AP mode, the lagging issue still persists. This ASUS product is truly terrible.
