ASUSWRT 4.0 - What did I get wrong (this time..)

I've at present an RT-AC86u running as "primary" and a downstream lan connected AX68u running in AP mode (and seeing most of the users). Both running latest code available (3.0.0.4.386.x and 3.0.0.4.388.x respectively). I'd believed this meant both were running ASUSWRT 4 and was looking forward to using VPN Fusion. Yet I don't see it on the AC86u, and I've hard reset it a few times just to be sure. Nada.

I had assumed (and we all know what that means) that anything that was current enough to receive AsusWRT 4 got the full set of features and capabilities. Is this incorrect? If correct, any thought on why I don't I see it? If for some reason they're limiting features by device, would the AX68u see VPN Fusion if I swapped their roles?

Thanks in advance!

Open Google, type "Asuswrt 4", hit Enter:

Only your RT-AX68U has the above features (388 firmware base). You better swap the routers. Use RT-AX68U as Router and RT-AC86U as AP. Don't expect any new features since both of your routers are End-of-Life for quite some time. If you by chance see a new firmware - it's critical security fixes focused.
