Tick "prevent client auto DoH" in the Wan section so that it doesn't bypass your global DNS.

This is OT but to finish, I'm talking about standard bypass. Going to QoS tab, Classification Tab, and entering 53 in the destination port shows I have three clients right now using alternative (unencrypted) DNS servers. I find that a security risk and would rather have my clients use my chosen server which is more secure (DoT). This is what I was using DNS Director to do in 3004. I will now have to use the global redirection but I'd rather be targetted to just those "misbehaving" clients.

IoT network despite being in online schedule time no IoT devices connect to it.
This seems to happen when online schedule is set.
Turning IoT network on-off restores connection.

thanks i understand the rog issue. but i see you did a last 3004 388 .9 rog release with the gtaxe11000 how about the same for the gtaxe16000 so we at least have roi on the last 3004 release.. thanks again.

Dirty flash on BE88u here. Working well. Im still having an issue with port forwarding working in the gui. I have to manually add firewall rules to forward ports. I use the sfp+ port for my WAN connection and my suspicion is that this is an issue on Asus end. Otherwise happy. Thanks @RMerlin !

I'm not sure what you're trying to do, in the DNS director you can still redirect individual clients to the DNS you desire, however, why do you want to do that if you're using DOT globally already?

Built from source (RT-AX86U_PRO_3006_102.4_beta1) and flashed over stock (3.0.0.6.102_34349), no reset, for RT-AX86U-Pro. Wired and wireless seem ok. Will observe / monitor and report back if any issues. Thx!

What features are you going to miss? There are new features in the 3006 firmware that make those missing features unimportant! Besides...Merlin says no so stop flogging a dead horse.

No. The router currently has no way of knowing on which network that client might end up being connected. I might eventually create additional rules per interface, but since that`s not very efficient (would require a lot of duplicate rules), I'm not sure yet if I want to do it.

"Router" mode will only work properly if configured for the whole SDN.

I've been experimenting on the beta and found the individual client redirects work fine for the br0 clients. I was then able to manually add the other clients to the firewall by copying the format but only changing the router corresponding subnet address (e.g. 192.168.51.1). All is working like it did on 3004 now! In my opinion, I don't think it's unreasonable to require the user to add the desired bridge (e.g. bro, br51, br52) when adding a client's mac to the list on the page. Just one person's opinion. Thanks again. This version is really awesome.

i did not ask for it in the new release ... give it a rest. i just asked in the older final release for the 16000 just llike the 11000 ..

Hey so I have the RT-BE92U already has 3006 from Asus i want to install your firmware instead are the issues described on this thread still applicable even tho I'm not going from 3004 to 3006

Flashed over Asus firmware. Factory reset and manually configured. Added AiMesh node on the 2.5 G port. IoT Guest WIFI on 2.4 GHz. Enabled DNS Director - router. Disabled 160 MHz and DFS on WIFI. Enabled Wireguard server and Instant Guard.
Set up AMTM, used USB2 thumb drive that had Entware and Diversion from prior test of Merlin firmware, added 2 GB swap, enabled Entware and Diversion (was really pleased that Diversion set up with the prior settings and block list!), installed Skynet.
Noticed that the Guest Network Pro has a slider to enable AdGuard (something new coming to the Asus firmware?)
No issues noted with my configuration or operation so far.

Ideally you do reset, but me and others did a dirty upgrade from asus to merlin for the RT-BE92U and no issues reported so far.

Have you checked everything even 5ghz speed test and 6ghz speed test cause I'm not getting what I was getting before...
I have 2 gig service and 5ghz was giving me around little over 1 gig and 6ghz little over 2 gigs now speed test for both under 1 gig smh

Not sure where to post this. I have an AX86U Pro and 2x AX86S running in AI mesh. AX86U Pro has 3006.102.4, AX86S's have 3004.388.9

AI mesh is available for 2.4Ghz. many 5Ghz clients can only connect to main AX86U Pro router. Tried turning on/off 5Ghz on the mesh points, force clients to roam using smart connect, but to no avail. The 5Ghz light is on on the Mesh's. Devices in question are Apple iPads 9th generation
