I was able to rollback to the previous driver in the current 380.58 development code, so at least I have a way out already.

anyone else having issues with setting up a pptp server? and port forwarding?

i can't port forward as it wont save my settings. set them up and then save and reloads and there gone.

dont know if i have a dodgy router?
stock firmware had port forwarding working fine. didn't try vpn.
dd-wrt was nowhere near stable but other running it were fine...
merlin 380.57 cant setup pptp server or port forward.

thinking about trying the new beta
do i just factory reset or is there some other reset procedure?

In AP mode my 2.4ghz completely doesn't work .

Did you do a reset to factory defaults followed by a minimal and manual configuration each time (after flashing the firmware you wanted to test)?
