AC86U clean install here. Not complaining. Just adding some data points regarding the temperature thingy... 384.19 my temp is usually about 70 when it's cool outside and 80 max on hot days. 386 (been waiting for a full 24 hours to make sure it's not heat soak etc) . Now it seems like it increases about 10 degrees celsius. So on the cool air it's about 80C and when it's hot outside aka no AC , it's 90.. it's fine I guess since it won't throttle anyway but yeah. Just an observation..

yea, mine is at 89c now with warm room temp like 25c something, with some youtube internet traffic at the background loading from 2 pc. Still 10c to the 100c throttling line. :D
Just checked with "top", there is no cpu eating process is on right now, means the cpu is not under heavy load, no idea wheres the heats is coming from then.

AiMesh with 2 AC68Us. Direct updated router from 384.19 without reset and node from official 385.20633 to 386.41634 . finished within 10 minutes. Everything seems fine so far. Thank you.

I started upgrade after 6PM yesterday, it is past 10AM now, finally my RT-AC68U calmed down, CPU load for after-upgrade maintenace was close to 100% for more than 15 hours...
Speedtest does not work: This function is temporarily disabled due to Internet disconnection.
I guess factory reset is in order.
UPDATE:
Message disappeared and speedtest is active. I guess router was not finished with it's post-upgrade maintenance.

Thank you again for this update! :)

So, I then updated two devices (AX58U and AX88U) from 384.19 to 386.1. After flashing the new firmware, both devices were reset with the WPS button and reconfigured manually. So far, so good, everything is working properly and satisfactorily. The temperature of the main device (AX88U) has also increased slightly by 5 ° C.

Since my dyn.com account has expired, I am now using the DDNS service provided by Asus with the new firmware.
Since then I have had the following message in the system log every 15 minutes (IP addresses changed):

Code:
Feb 1 01:42:41 inadyn[24953]: ppp0 ipv6 address=<2003:da:4ccc:4cfb:94c2:6938:aa71:21b7>
Feb 1 01:42:41 inadyn[24953]: alias address=<184.141.145.160>
Feb 1 01:57:41 inadyn[27150]: ppp0 ipv6 address=<2003:da:4ccc:4cfb:94c2:6938:aa71:21b7>
Feb 1 01:57:41 inadyn[27150]: alias address=<184.141.145.160>
Feb 1 02:12:41 inadyn[29392]: ppp0 ipv6 address=<2003:da:4ccc:4cfb:94c2:6938:aa71:21b7>
Feb 1 02:12:41 inadyn[29392]: alias address=<184.141.145.160>
Feb 1 02:27:41 inadyn[31584]: ppp0 ipv6 address=<2003:da:4ccc:4cfb:94c2:6938:aa71:21b7>
Feb 1 02:27:41 inadyn[31584]: alias address=<184.141.145.160>

Does anyone know what these entries mean and how I can get rid of them?

Somewhere I read here that you can switch off the LEDs on the AiMesh node. Unfortunately I can't find this again, can someone tell where this setting is?

:)

As the error says - have you tried to flash the correct version of the firmware? Looks like you have an RT-AC86U - check that you haven't downloaded the firmware for the RT-AC68U.
I saw that I have downloaded firmware for the RT-AX86U :D

Thanks for helping however :)

The non-ROG UI has been implemented by Asus, they also took care of adding GeForceNow QoS support to our code base. This will serve as an experiment to see if other GT models could be added in the future with their collaboration.
I dont know if I got this correct, does this mean that we should expect to have GeforceNow QoS option or not? For example for RT-AC86U

Just upgraded my RT-AC53000 from .19 to this .1 and now all my smart connect rules are set to disabled/0%/no. And if I try to press "Default" it just sets it all to 0% again. I have no clue how the settings on this page should look like :( Seems like a bug.

Also, the included speedtest in this release only gives me 270/270 Mbps and if I open speedtest .net on my pc (same pc) and do a test it gives me 500/500 Mbps (AC WIFI). (My nett is 750/500 Mbps). Shouldn't the included in router speedtest get closer to 600-750? Or at least 500 like I get on the test u run just seconds later? (Did a complete factory reset on .19, have only restarted the router after updating to .1)

Any clue what is this and if it is important?

Is there DNS over TLS on merlin firmware ? I dont install merlin because it voids warranty and is illegal in poland but those security features added are attractive. Is Asus planning to implement DOT any time soon?

Yes, this can be found in the WAN settings (and it works great).

DoT has been part of Merlin for quite some time now.
AsusWRT Merlin is not illegal in Poland nor elsewhere in the EU. And it certainly does not void void warranty.

I mean post here photo of your conversation with asus employee or dont spread missinformation. I asked 3 times and had 3 exact same answers that its illegal and voids warranty. @ASUSWRT_2020 could take a stance as well.

Speedtest does not work: This function is temporarily disabled due to Internet disconnection.
I guess factory reset is in order.
I hadn't checked it, but I get the same error with the included Speedtest on my AC86U if I use Safari as the browser. Firefox works.

seems I concluded too early. after update I am not able to connect to my guest1 wifi both 2.4 and 5Ghz and both give me incorrect password error. Guest2 wifi is fine tho. Mine routers are AC68U but not RT-AX86U or RT-AX88U as Merlin noted. Any one have this issue?

Code:
Feb 1 09:59:31 syslog: wlceventd_proc_event(555): wl1.1: Assoc XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX, status: Successful (0), rssi:0
Feb 1 09:59:37 syslog: wlceventd_proc_event(490): wl1.1: Deauth_ind YY:YY:YY:YY:YY:YY, status: 0, reason: 4-way handshake timeout (f), rssi:0

Did a full reset and issue persist.

Same issue, my bandwidth is 600/600Mbs, got 550Mbs on my laptop directly connected thru RJ45 but from router's speedtest (same server/same OKLA test)) it only gives me 200-250Mbs.
This tool is useless if not showing the real bandwidth

Upgraded RT-AC68U from 384.19 to 386.1 (without reset) and it quickly came back to life (using ConnMon, Diversion and Skynet). Thank you.
I see some strange numbers under Traffic Monitor, Last 24 Hours (614891468983371.50 KB/s). I wish it was true.
