I've discovered that application "Canon IJ Network Scanner Selector EX" keeps on scanning network IPs on port 8612 searching for printer when printer is off (I've a Canon MX925). Recentely noticed that systemLog, if tracing "ACCEPT" packets is on in firewall settings, is flooded with messages like this:
Jan 29 16:54:06 kernel: ACCEPT <4>ACCEPT IN=br0 OUT=br0 <1>SRC=192.168.0.2 DST=192.168.0.25 <1>LEN=44 TOS=0x00 PREC=0x00 TTL=127 ID=3149 PROTO=UDP <1>SPT=60875 DPT=8612 LEN=24
My desktop IP is 192.168.0.2 and Canon IJ Network Scanner Selector EX keeps scanning causing this "ACCEPT" messages continuosly
Is it possible to stop this LAN to LAN traffic logging?
Thank you.
Marco
